Pastor's PageWelcome to the Pastors page of the Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church.
My name is Lee Neal. God has sent me to spread the good news about Jesus Christ here at Chestnut Mound U.M.C., and we consider you as part of our outreach. If you are local to the area, I encourage you to come visit us at our Sunday morning worship service at 9:00AM and a very informative Sunday school program that follows the worship service. If you can only visit us by the web, I want to be of better service to you. Please feel free to contact us with any needs or concerns you would like to address.
About me: First of all it is not about me. It’s about Jesus Christ Our Savior! but, here is a brief summary of my spiritual journey:
I was raised in the Church of Christ, got saved in a Missionary Baptist, received a lot of my religious structure in a Free Will Baptist, and God planted me in the United Methodist Church. I am called of God, not of man, to preach and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was first drawn to the U.M.C. because of its outreach, and it is the only church that I feel practices “no respect of persons”. My wife, Tammy, is a lifelong Methodist and is very supportive of God’s calling in my life. All of my children, ages 20, 17 and 13, have been saved or redeemed or transformed - whatever terminology you prefer to use. God has really been good to me and my family. I am truly Blessed.
I ask you to use this handy little chart as you go through life.
YOU SAY GOD SAYS SCRIPTURE
“It’s impossible” “All things are possible” Luke 18:27
“I’m too tired” “I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28-30
“Nobody really loves me” “I love you” John 3:16 & John3:34
“I can’t go on” “My grace is sufficient” 2 Cor. 12:9 & Psalms 91:15
“I can’t figure things out” “I will direct your steps” Proverbs 3:5-6
“I can’t do it” “You can do all things” Philippians 4:13
“I’m not able” “I am able” 2 Cor. 9:8
“It’s not worth it” “It will be worth it” Romans 8:28
“I can’t forgive myself” “I forgive you” 1 John 1:9 & Romans 8:1
“I can’t manage” “I will supply all your needs” Philippians 4:19
“I’m afraid” “I have not given you a spirit of fear” 2 Timothy 1:7
“I’m always worried and frustrated” “Cast all your cares on ME” 1 Peter 5:7
“I’m not smart enough” “I give you wisdom” 1 Cor. 1:30
“I feel all alone” “I will never leave or forsake you” Hebrews 13:5
God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay and who you refuse to let go
